EXPLORE FROM HERE
Your basecamp for Sperryville
Rappahannock County is already a destination Blue Ridge trails, a river-district arts corridor, farm-to-table tables, and some of Virginia's best wineries and whiskey. The House on Water Street is where you land in between.

01
Trails & River
HIKERS, BIKERS, MOTORCYCLISTS, NATURE LOVERS
Old Rag, the Appalachian Trail, Skyline Drive, and Shenandoah National Park are minutes away from easy river walks to summit climbs. The Thornton River runs close enough for an afternoon of wading. Come back muddy; we'll have a place to rinse off and a porch to recover on.
02
Table & Farm
FOODIES AND THE HEALTHY-MINDED
Waterpenny Farm and a growing roster of farm-to-table kitchens and bakeries make it easy to eat exceptionally well without leaving town. Ask us — we're happy to point you toward all the local farms for healthy, fresh food.

03
Wine, Beer & Spirits
WINERIES, BREWERIES, DISTILLERY LOVERS
Award-winning wineries, local breweries, and Copper Fox Distillery are all close by some within walking distance. The tasting happens there. The House on Water Street porch where you talk about what you tasted is right here.
04
Art, Antiques & Makers
ART LOVERS AND ANTIQUE HUNTERS
The River District's studios and galleries are two blocks away. Half the house is furnished with finds like the ones you'll discover there. Ask us for our favorite artists.

Music & Gatherings
FESTIVALS, CONCERTS, LOCAL EVENTS
Sperryville's calendar is full most weekends concerts, farm tours, art tours, seasonal festivals. We'll always know what's on, and we're an easy walk or short drive from most of it.
06
Restore & Reconnect
FOR THOSE WHO NEED TO GET AWAY
Sometimes the point isn't an itinerary. It's a porch, a good meal, and the people you came with. This is what we built the house for.

Every group is different. We'd rather hear about yours the pace you like, the people coming, the things you'd rather skip so we can point you toward the right trails, tables, and tastings before you even arrive.
